Even before coming to the Delft University of Technology, I was already intrigued by the university’s D:Dreamteams. Student teams that design, build, test and race their inventions against industry professionals? Unbelievable! Inspired by these remarkable feats for engineering, I enrolled in the Bachelor degree in Applied Physics. Benefiting from the broad nature of the study, I became very interested in the energy transition. Applying my engineering knowledge to combat climate change and to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future really spoke to me. The next logical step was to join a D:Dreamteam that fits my interests, so I was incredibly happy to start as the Project Manager of the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team.

Joining a team as committed to sustainability, innovation and education as the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team is a dream come true for me. As the team’s Project Manager, I am responsible for guiding the team through the whole engineering design process. In addition to this, I have to make sure the cooperation between different departments run smoothly so that we can efficiently work towards our goal. Achieving our goal won’t be easy, but I’m sure that with such a creative, interdisciplinary, and motivated team the Open Sea Class of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge will have a serious contender!
