When I first heard about the Solar Boat Team I got the impression that the working atmosphere is very comfortable and everyone knows each other well on a personal level, which was very attractive for me. Next to that, I was impressed by the projects that have been done in the past, which have always been of extremely high quality. This year I am looking forward to take the next step for the Solar Boat Team together with my teammates by propelling the boat on hydrogen, such that we inspire the maritime industry to take the same step. The transition from solar energy to hydrogen will be a huge and exciting challenge, that we will only be able to tackle together.

From my background in Aerospace Engineering I am of course extra interested in one of the most fascinating parts of the boat; the hydrofoils. As Chief Vehicle Dynamics I am responsible for these foils, next to the rest of the moving parts of the boat. I hope to further develop myself this year by applying the theory of my study to this unique project in practice, but also to build a close social bond with the team to make it an unforgettable year!
