The TU Delft Solar Boat Team immediately caught my attention: they are working with a hydrofoiling boat! And as I just finished my Aerospace degree, I like everything that flies. After finishing my bachelors in Aerospace Engineering, I was not quite ready to start my master yet, as I was done with working with theory only. So, I sought for ways to have an interesting gap year. I think being part of the Solar Boat Team is an amazing opportunity, since it offers me the possibility putting my knowledge into practice.

As a wing and struts engineer for the vehicle dynamics department, I am responsible for designing the shape and structure of the hydrofoils. This means that I am working on making the boat fly. It will be a challenge, as no one really has experience with building a boat, but I am up for it and ready to get started!
