After finishing my bachelor’s in Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics, I decided that I wanted to do something completely different. I wanted to bring my knowledge into practice and the TU Delft Solar Boat Team is the perfect place to do so. With a team of ambitious students we push the boundaries and limits of innovative engineering to show the world the potential of solar energy. What I like the most about this project is that we need to work hard and professionally to realise our design, but we are still a team of students. We also know how to have fun with each other.
As part of the electronics department, my goal is to supply the boat with efficient and especially reliable electronics. These electronics include the hardware, such as batteries, but also software, like height control. My role as chief electronics is to keep an overview, check the quality of the electronics and maintaining a professional, fun and relaxed atmosphere within the department. With the entire team, I think we’re able to design and build a great solar boat and I’m excited to see our hard work come to fruition.
