If you were to describe a Dream Team in one word, I would use the word innovative. Every year, students push boundaries and search for the limit of what is technically possible and this is what I find so special, the opportunity to really develop something yourself, innovate and making through all this the world a better place. What attracted me most to join the Solar Boat Team is the great challenge we are facing this year. Instead of participating in the inshore competition we are competing in the offshore competition.

I am a fanatic sailor myself and so is this project, which shares a lot of simalairities with many sailboats, very intriguing. What I would find a greag achievement this year is if we would succeed to cross the english canal and by doing this setting the world record for the fastest crossing of a solar powered boat. It is not the first time we want to complete this challenge but a challenge that has haunted us for years as several Solar Boat Teams have failed in succeeding in the past. This year though, I think we are better prepared and therefore stand a real chance in completing this challenge. In addition, I would also like to further develop myself on a personal level.
