My biggest motivation to join the TU Delft Hydro Motion team is the coupling between my study marine technology and the challenging aspect of a dreamteam. In the coming year, I will put the theory of my study into practice. This offers me the opportunity to develop myself as an engineer, by working on this innovative project that contributes to the evolution within the shipping industry. In fact, I strongly believe that hydrogen will become one of the future fuels within this industry and therefore, as a young engineer, I want to help influence the move towards a greener maritime world.

As a Hull&Body engineer, I fulfil the function of internal architect. This means that I have to arrange the boat as efficiently as possible. This requires me to consult a lot of different departments, through which I learn how a team works together on a professional level. In addition, the dynamics and atmosphere that exists within the team will ensure that everyone is the best version of themselves, therefore communication will be smooth. Finally, I will gain an understanding of the several components required on board and how they affect the strength and stability of a vessel. But above all, we will work together and assist where needed, giving me knowledge of all departments!
