I have always been fascinated by the Dreamteams and for the coming year I needed a challenge. After some contact moments with the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team and seeing such a motivated group of people designing and building their own flying hydrogen boat, I was sold.

During my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering I worked on cool projects but I did not know what to do next since the field of work is very broad. In my final year I had the opportunity to graduate at Damen Shipyards where I fell in love with the special maritime world.  The next year I moved to Delft where I started my pre-masters in Marine Technology.

We are in the middle of transformation.  The different modes of transport, road, air, water, they are all changing. The maritime industry represents approximately 2.5% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions and I truly believe that it is our duty as future engineers to reverse this trend.

I cannot put into words how excited I am to be responsible for the hull design this year to take my first steps towards this goal. Let’s go!
