What may be different from others is that my affinity for water sports was not instilled from childhood. My motivation to join the Hydro Motion Team arose from my interest in innovation. I believe that in the maritime sector huge steps can still be made towards a sustainable world. The initiative of the Hydro Motion Team to make the transition to hydrogen is one of the main reasons for me to join the team. In my Mechanical Engineering studies, I have already looked into the theoretical possibilities of hydrogen. In the project I hope to apply this knowledge in a professional project with a group of motivated students.

Within the team I am a part of the Powertrain department. As an engineer I am mainly responsible for the fuel management and cooling systems. In addition, I will also work on the fuel cell itself. Of course this is done in cooperation with other departments so that I know about more than just Powertrain, I aim to learn a lot from all the different departments.
